Servicing

Servicing in line with your vehicle manufacturer's recommended schedules or tailor made to suit all uses and budgets.

  • Greenard's Garage has access to all manufacturers' servicing schedules, allowing us to advise which service is due according to the mileage and age of your vehicle.

    Each vehicle is used in a different way, be it short journeys or motorway miles we can advise you on the correct level of service depending upon your circumstances.

    We place a high emphasis on using quality components,the correct grade of oil and ensuring your vehicle is ready for the miles ahead

    Independent Servicing

    Since October 2003, European Commission legislation has allowed vehicle owners to have their servicing and repairs carried out at their chosen workshop or independent garage rather than having to use the vehicle manufacturer's dealership.

    This means that brand new vehicles do not need to be returned to the manufacturer or dealer for servicing.

Diagnostics

  • Got the dreaded Engine light on? ABS warning light or any number of other warnings displayed? We can help.

    Modern vehicles are powered by a series of computers, ECU’s, control units and modules that communicate with one another, making adjustments to many aspects of their operation without the driver even being aware. These help with many aspects of the cars operation, from the brakes and the running of the engine to central locking and wipers.

    These systems are generally robust and reliable. However, when electronic problems occur, symptoms can often appear as a warning light or engine misfire, requiring an external diagnostic tool to interrogate your cars on board systems.

    Greenard's Garage uses Autel diagnostic equipment, combined with technical data from Autodata.

    Diagnostic equipment does not always identify a specific fault or the exact part that needs replacing. More commonly, it identifies an area of the vehicle's operation that requires further investigation.

    This may require mechanical and electrical testing before a part can be replaced or a repair carried out. It is a minefield of information that we strive to explain and repair effectively.

MOT

MOT testing for Class 4, Class 5L and Class 7 vehicles.

  • An MOT is an annual examination of cars and other light vehicles, including some Light Goods Vehicles, and private buses.

    You can submit your vehicle for an MOT up to 30 days before its due date, meaning you can have up to 13 months of MOT.

    An MOT reminder one month before your vehicle is due means you don't have to remember. Reminders can be sent by:

Repairs

A full repair service, from replacement wipers through to major mechanical repairs.

  • We know how important it is to have your vehicle on the road, which is why we endeavour to have your vehicle repaired and back with you as soon as possible.

    Regular servicing and maintenance can help avoid problems, but cars are mechanical objects and can sometimes go wrong.

    We offer a full repair service, from replacement wipers through to major mechanical repairs.
